The maintenance and development of Tanzania’s trunk and regional road networks falls under the purview of the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS). It is also in charge of employing weighbridge scales to carry out axle load control operations.

Under Section 3(1) of the Executive Agencies Act No. 30 of 1997, the Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) was founded on July 1st, 2000, by an order published in the Government Gazette as Notice No. 293 of 2000 as amended by GN. 350 of 2009. The Agency is in charge of building airports in Tanzania’s mainland as well as maintaining and expanding the country’s trunk and regional road networks.
Its main responsibilities include managing, developing, and maintaining works; operating the network and controlling axle load; implementing environmental and road safety measures; and offering advice on the sector’s policies, plans, and strategic framework. Building airports is another task that the agency has been given.
In light of this, the Chief Executive of TANROADS, through the Regional Manager of TANROADS – Singida, is extending an invitation to the following candidates to apply for the open positions in the following four projects:
Upgrading of Makongorosi – Rungwa – Itigi – Mkiwa Lot 7B: Doroto – Noranga (6km) and Itigi – Mkiwa (25.57km); Sabasaba – Sepuka – Ndago – Kizaga (77.4km); Kitukutu – Gumanga Road Section (5km) along Gumanga – Chemchem – Nyahaa and Sibiti Bridge Approach Roads to Bitumen Standard (24.83km);
To the aptitude test (written and oral interviews). These will occur from April 15 to 19th, 2024, at Multipurpose Hall – VETA Singida (for written interviews) and the Regional Manager’s Office – Singida (for oral interviews).
