1. RESULTS OF THE COMPETENCE BASED ASSESSMENT (CBA) TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (TVET) EXAMINATIONS.

A total of 36,390 applicants passed the Competency Based Assessment (CBA) exams in the TVET tests held in December 2023, yielding an 80.5% pass rate. The following is a breakdown of pass rates by level:

2. Results of Level 1 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Examinations:

13,839 candidates in total took the Level 1 CBA exams. 12,087 students (87.3%) passed the exams, according to the results. Of them, 3,874 (32.06%) were female and 8,213 (67.94%) were male.

3. Results of Level 2 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Examinations:

Twenty-six hundred and five individuals took the Level 2 CBA exams. According to the statistics, 15,760 applicants, or 76.3 percent, passed the test. 11,625 (73.76%) of them were men, while 4,135 (26.23%) were women.

4. Results of Level 3 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Examinations

For the Level 3 CBA exams, 1,896 individuals took them in total. Based on the findings, 77.1% of the candidates, or 1,462 people, passed the exams. 707 (48.36%) of them were men, and 755 (51.64%) were women.

7,090 candidates (19.5%) out of the 36,390 candidates who took the CBA tests at Levels 1, 2, and 3 must retake the test.

5. RESULTS OF THE NATIONAL BUSINESS EXAMINATIONS (NABE)

A total of 510 participants took the Stages 1, 2, and 3 exams in the December 2023 National Business Examinations. Out of them, 118 candidates (23.1%)—92 (81.36%) female and 22 (18.64%) male—passed the exams. 392 applicants, or 76.9%, must retake the test.

6. DUAL APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING SYSTEM

Through a cooperative training framework, industries and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutes run this Dual Apprenticeship Training System. 177 (82.3%) of the 215 apprentices passed the exams; the remaining 38 (17.7%) had to retake them.

7. INTEGRATED MINING TECHNICAL TRAINING (IMTT) PROGRAM

This initiative, which aims to identify and develop apprentices’ talents, is carried out by TVET colleges and the mining industry through a cooperative training framework. 71 (92.2%) of the 77 apprentices passed the test, while 6 (7.8%) are need to retake it.
