I’m happy to let you know that you have been accepted to the University of Dar es Salaam Mineral Resources Institute, where you will enroll in the previously mentioned course and complete a three-year diploma program. The following requirements must be accepted and met in order for you to be admitted:
1. TRAVELLING COSTS
When visiting the Institute and on vacation, you are responsible for covering your own travel expenses. Off-campus students are responsible for covering the daily expense of transportation from their homes to the Institute and back.
2. ACCOMODATION
Dodoma Campus
Accommodation services are offered on the grounds of MRI Dodoma Campus. Students who are interested in the services must apply, however spots will be filled on a “first come, first served” basis. This paper is attached to the accomodation services application form (MRI FORM No. 6). Students who live in Dodoma or who may readily find housing through relatives who live in Dodoma are permitted to remain off campus as well.
Nzega Campus
For all students who have been chosen to enroll at Nzega Campus, housing services are offered on the MRI Nzega Campus grounds. It should be mentioned that students are expressly prohibited from staying off campus; ALL students are expected to remain on campus.
3. MEAL ALLOWANCES
The Institute’s cafeterias on the Dodoma and Nzega campuses serve meals. However, the expense of this service will be borne by the student independently.
4. NHIF
The National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) requires non-member students to pay an annual membership cost of TShs. 50,400/=. When registering for classes, students who are already NHIF members must use ARIS3 to confirm the validity of their membership. If a student is not a current member of NHIF, they will not be allowed to register.
