Under the UNESCO Dar es Salaam Office portfolio, the Education for Health and Wellbeing (EHW) Junior Programme Assistant position will be headquartered in Dar es Salaam. It will report to the National Professional Officer – Education for Health and Wellbeing and assist in carrying out UBRAF work.

Open Position and Description:

1. Junior Programme Assistant W-10

Parent Sector: Field Office

Duty Station: Dar-es-Salaam

Type of contract: Non Staff

Duration of contract: 1 year

Recruitment open to: Internal and external candidates

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Academic prerequisite: A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public health, education, or program management
  • Years of experience in a related field at work: a minimum of a year’s worth of experience working in AGYW&B health-related initiatives Experience working on digital literacy and health education initiatives.

  • Strong, self-assured communicator who can collaborate well with people of all levels and in a variety of settings.
  • Be mindful of the details.
  • Capable of setting priorities and controlling deadlines.
  • Meets deadlines through time management and planning.
  • Thoughtful and receptive to new ideas
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
