The WaterAid Management Accounting team provides professional and technical finance leadership for WaterAid UK’s international activities to country programmes and the regions.
For every region they serve, international management accountants serve as a reliable business partner. taking part in strategic discussions and facilitating decision-making using data analysis and insights.
The WaterAid Management Accounting team provides professional and technical finance leadership for WaterAid UK’s international activities to country programmes and the regions.
Responsibilities:
- Together with the senior management team for the country, create business plans for new, innovative, and scalable initiatives for the program.
- Assist the national program in putting in place suitable finance policies and procedures for locating and overseeing intricately restricted funding.
- To support and advise national senior management teams, heads of regions, and the head of management accounting, review and analyze country program plans and budgets, seeking clarity as needed.
- Compile data from national programs to generate narrative and financial analyses for regional management accounts every month.
- Establish and preserve productive working relationships throughout the global financial department to guarantee an integrated strategy, reciprocal learning, and efficient resource usage.
Qualifications:
- Education at the degree level
- Qualifications in professional accounting (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
- Familiarity with Sun or another multidimensional accounting system of a comparable nature.
- Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Practical familiarity with business intelligence software
- Familiarity with and expertise in managing donor funds
- Familiarity with financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning
- The capacity to interpret financial facts and tell stories for a variety of audiences
- Expertise creating financial systems, procedures, and policies
- Knowledge, skills, and experience in management accounting
