Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA)

The Parliamentary Act No. 6 of 1984 created Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), and it was abolished by the Universities Act No. 7 of 2005, which allowed SUA to receive its charter in 2007. The university’s vision is to be a leader in the delivery of high-caliber education, research, and innovations in the fields of agriculture and related sciences.

The Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) Management is seeking competent Tanzanians to apply for the ten open positions listed below.

Open Positions and Description:

1. ACADEMIC POSITIONS – 10 POSTS

Qualifications:

A candidate with a Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s degree qualification and a minimum GPA of 3.8, or an average of B+ with a computed GPA of 3.8 for graduates of unclassified degrees like veterinary and medical, and who is judged to have the potential to be an excellent academic. Furthermore, a minimum of a B+ in the pertinent subjects, or its equivalent, must have been earned.

Responsibilities:

This is a training position, and the employees must complete a Master’s degree training program;
Take an introductory course on pedagogical skills if you have never done so before;
Senior Members’ Understudy, encompassing participation in tutorials, lectures, and seminars as well as hands-on instruction;
Helping to run lectures, workshops, and practical’s.
Participate in outreach, consulting, and research initiatives; and
Carry out any additional responsibilities that may be delegated by the appropriate authorities.

Age: Not above 35 years of age

Remuneration: As per Treasury Registrar’s Circular No. 7 of 2015, which is applicable at the moment.
