The Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) is a part of the University of Dar es Salaam, which was established in 2005. Offering integrated teaching, research, and public services are the College’s main duties, as stated in the 2010 Rules and the Dar es Salaam University College of Education Charter.

The College is located on Plots 324 and 325 Block ‘T’ Chang’ombe in Temeke Municipality, Dar es Salaam Region. It is near the newly built National Stadium and about 5 kilometers from the City Center via Kilwa Road. 52.97 acres make up the college’s whole land area. In addition, the College has 1.17 hectares of land in Mbagala on Plot No. 964/1 Block “V.” Owing to its prime location near the city center, the college provides opportunities for investment in a range of fields.

Applications from qualified public employees who would like to transfer to DUCE are being accepted by the College in an effort to enhance research, public service delivery, and teaching and learning.

Responsibilities:

To manage concerns pertaining to housing, food, health, and leisure for students;
To arrange the management of residence hall administration;
To guarantee adherence to institutional regulations and by-laws governing students’ living arrangements in residence halls;
To respond appropriately when such regulations and bylaws are broken; and
To carry out any additional relevant tasks that the supervisor may prescribe.

Qualifications:

Possessing a bachelor’s degree in educational psychology, guidance and counseling, social work, or a comparable discipline from an accredited university and at least four years of relevant work experience.
