College of Business Education (CBE)

The Act of Parliament No. 31 of 1965 founded the CBE. It is a government-owned, independent institution that has received full accreditation from the National Council of Technical Education (NACTE). The objectives are to deliver competency-based, demand-driven business education and to provide high-quality public services via applied research and consulting.

The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS), acting on behalf of the College of Business Education (CBE), is seeking dynamic, proactive, experienced, and suitably prepared Tanzanians to fill the two (2) open positions listed below.

Open Positions and Description

1. Assistant Lecture (Banking and Finance)

Responsibilities:

  • Teaches up to the Bachelor’s Degree (NTA Level 8)
  • Creates instructional materials
  • Carries out case studies, lectures, and research;
  • Does community service and consulting work under supervision and
  • Carries out any additional relevant tasks that the supervisor assigns.

Qualifications:

  • Possessing a master’s degree in banking and finance or accounting and finance. The candidate must hold an undergraduate degree in either bachelor’s banking and finance or bachelor’s accounting and finance from an accredited university. A minimum GPA of 3.8 points (out of 5) at the undergraduate level and a minimum GPA of 4.0 out of five points at the master’s level are required of the candidate.

2. Tutorial Assistant (Tourism and Event Management)

  • The applicant needs to be a tourism management bachelor’s degree holder. A bachelor’s degree requires a minimum GPA of 3.8. Candidates ought to have majored in tourism management during their studies.
