Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Associated British Foods plc (ABF) is the parent company of Illovo Sugar Africa. The company, which is based in Kidatu in the Kilombero Valley, has two sugar mills and agricultural estates called Ruembe and Msolwa, which are situated in the Kilosa and Kilombero districts, respectively, and are divided by the Great Ruaha River in the Morogoro Region.
Open Positions and Description:
1. Artisan Mechanical Maintenance – 1 POST
- Role: performs preventative maintenance on trucks and light vehicles in compliance with established work standards. Fixes mechanical malfunctions, including significant malfunctions and overhauls. In charge of one of the subsequent units: Field service, inner workshop and stationery equipment unit, trucks and light vehicle unit.
- Requirements: Trade Test Level II or Grade II and up from an accredited school.
two or more years of experience in the manufacturing sector working in hydraulics, pneumatics, and the fundamentals of auto electric mechanics.
2. Finance Business Partner – 1 POST
- Role: Make sure that the financial aspect is central to the decision-making process, applying rigor to the assessment and execution of decisions that provide value. Make sure all options are carefully considered and the best choice is made in order to bring financial awareness to company decisions. Use the right business tools to assist in decision-making.
- Responsibilities: Accountancy/Business Administration/Equivalent ACCA/CPA(T)/Equivalent Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
3. Mechanical Engineer
- Role: Ensures that engineering standards and designs, as outlined in the EPC Contract, are implemented technically and correctly, integrating them into the mechanical engineering construction throughout the site. Know exactly what an EPC contract entails and make sure that the mechanical engineering solutions are appropriate for the new sugar mill and optimal.
- Responsibilities: a Mechanical Engineering BSc or BTech degree Must have substantial experience operating in a sugar factory with a power station equipped with backpressure and condensing turbines, each capable of producing 25 MW at 11KV, a traditional quin evaporation process house, 45 Bar steam generation, and a milling extraction process. Extensive management and operational experience in sugar mills from a Mechanical Engineering background.
