In order to ensure the effective implementation of the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) as outlined in the Annexes to the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation, the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) was established by the enactment of Cap. 80 of the Civil Aviation Act (R.E 2020).

The TCAA is in charge of the financial, security, safety, and regulatory aspects of the operations of individuals and organizations who offer aeronautical airport services and air transportation services.

Open Positions and Description

1. Flight Operations Development Inspector for Large Aircraft – 6  POSTS

Responsibilities:

  • To support enforcement, investigations, and the creation of final findings and disposal recommendations;
  • To take part in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and complaints;
  • To support the assessment of air operators and air agencies and provide suggestions to the manager or designated certified inspector for the particular assignment;
  • To support the assessment of training programs, including flight simulators, training aids, and other similar equipment, to make sure they adhere to CAA laws and staff;
  • To support the certification of personnel;
  • To provide guidance on suitable measures to be used against non-compliance while monitoring pilots, flying instructors, designated pilot examiners, check airmen, aviation organization operations, and training activities; and
  • To carry out any additional relevant tasks that your immediate supervisor may assign you.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5000 flight hours as a pilot, a professional license, a Commercial Pilot License (CPL), an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), and at least five years of flying experience are required. Additionally, an Advanced Secondary Education certificate focusing in science topics is required.
