The Manager of RUWASA (Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency) in Tunduru District, on behalf of the community-level water service providers in Tunduru District, would like to announce to qualified Tanzanians to fill the following job positions:
Accountant at Ruwasa For the Water Service Provider – (4 POSITIONS)
QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS:
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen
- Must have education starting from a Certificate in Craft Grade III and above
- Must be aged between 18 and 45 years old
- Must be a honest and upright person who has never been convicted of criminal offenses
- Must be able to work without supervision
- Must have computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Must be ready to work in rural areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTANT:
- To be the Chief Financial Officer of the water service provider
- To oversee the collection of water bill payments at all water collection points
- To prepare the annual budget of the water service provider
- To prepare all financial reports and submit them to the water service provider supervisor
- To make payments after approval by the water service provider supervisor and the RUWASA District Manager
- To maintain financial records, payment documents, and all documentation confirming payments and expenditure of funds for the relevant activities
- To deposit all water bill payments into banks before utilization
- To consult with the water service provider supervisor on financial matters in implementing all project activities
- To maintain financial records, payment documents, and all documentation confirming payments for the relevant activities

- To consult with the supervisor of the water service provider on financial matters in implementing all project activities.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS/SALARY
This job is contractual, and the contract may be renewed by the employer of the community-level water service provider (CBWSO) based on the employee’s good performance.
The employee’s payment will be based on the collections/sales of water by the respective service provider.
