Responsibilities :
The development and consolidation of budgets, as well as their timely assessment and submission, are the responsibilities of performance control and coordination. Make sure that budget expenditures are carried out in accordance with the authorized budget, approved activities, and COH policies, terms, and conditions by working with the program officers.
Capacity Building: Complete a financial needs assessment for capacity building and make sure program workers and partners have access to a capacity building plan. Build the capacity of all field employees and partners.
Accountability and Financial Reporting: Creating the Financial Reports, Examine and make sure that every financial report is timely submitted to the COH headquarters and properly filed at the field office. Perform monthly assessments of financial reports to ensure that they are accurate and that program management is ongoing.

Cash Management: Make certain that the office has sufficient cash management practices in place and that the programs aim for a low cash balance at the conclusion of each month. Conduct a monthly bank reconciliation. Makes certain that all payments are made on schedule, in accordance with the COHTz and HQ Financial Management Policy/Manuals and procedures, and with the necessary and appropriate supporting documentation.
Performance and Follow-ups of Audits: collaborating with the COH HQ IP Accountant, Organize the COHTz office auditing exercise. Create action plans to implement the audit findings and communicate them with the ND and Local Board members. Create timely audit answers based on the auditors’ observations and recommendations. Follow up within the programs regarding the audit findings’ implementation status.
Before engaging in business or transferring cash, Partners Management should take part in an examination of Partners’ systems and financial ability to make sure they meet the minimal requirements for doing business with COHTz. Conduct review and capacity-building monitoring visits, make sure staff and partner retirements are funded on time, and offer financial technical assistance to the national director to help maintain the organization’s financial integrity.
Administrative Responsibilities: Ensure efficiency and compliance in procurement, store, and asset management by offering technical support. Prepare monthly analysis reports (including fuel and maintenance costs) to help management make well-informed decisions. Submit reports to the national office on a regular basis. In order to assist program implementations, ensure compliance with COHTz and HQ policies and procedures to facilitate all procurements for all programs. Examine the staff payroll each month and make sure all laws and regulations are followed; handle office calls and correspondence (letters, emails, packages); oversee driver mobility schedules;
Observe COH policies while managing all balance sheet items, including staff advancements within the program. Examine staff EERs to ensure receipts are genuine and accurate. Make that inventories are reconciled and the Fixed Assets Register is updated and maintained on schedule.

Qualifications :
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
- Minimum Qualification required: Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or related fields.
- Experience: 2-4 years.
- Preferred: BSc in Accounting, CPA.
- Technical Skills & Abilities:
– Excellent computer skills in Excel,Word & Sun-systems software, o Demonstrated ability in supervision,
– Good planning and organizational skills.
– Tact and diplomacy in dealing with staff-related to work environment needs, o Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff.
Required Knowledge :
- The minimum required qualification is a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely connected subject.
- Experience: A minimum of one year.
- CPA or BSc in Accounting preferred.
- outstanding computer abilities in Quick Books and Excel.
- A personal ministry that is both active and expanding, with a particular calling to children’s ministry.
- preferably three or more years of experience in teaching or children’s ministry.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Proficiency with Gmail, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Quick Book software is required. Sales force experience is an added bonus.
- exceptional communication skills both in writing and speaking.
- Excellent detail-oriented skills, the capacity to manage several jobs at once, and strong organizational talents.
