Benjamin Mkapa Hospital (BMH)
The Government Notice No. 453 of 2015, which was published in the government gazette on October 16, 2015, established the Benjamin Mkapa Hospital following its opening on October 13, 2015. The goal of this hospital’s development is to alleviate the cost on Tanzanian government caused by patient referrals abroad. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, the fourth president of the United Republic of Tanzania, intended to have a state-of-the-art diagnostic treatment facility in Tanzania by 2015.
With 400 beds, the hospital can accommodate both domestic and international patients. Emergency medicine, intensive care unit (ICU), imaging (MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, angiography, mammography, X-ray, ultrasound, laboratory services, surgical services, and radiotherapy services are just a few of the many medical services that the hospital currently offers.
Open Positions and Description:
1. Nurse II – 6 POSTS
Responsibilities:
- Providing patients with general nursing care;
- Delivering medications and other treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions;
- Gathering information and creating reports regarding his or her effectiveness at work;
- Giving patients counseling;
- Enlightening patients about their medical issues;
- Taking care of DDA
- Carrying out any further relevant official tasks that higher authorities may impose;
Qualification:
- Holder of a Nursing or Midwifery Certificate (NTA Level 5) or a comparable degree from an accredited institution, and registered with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council.
