The University of Dar es Salaam was founded in 2005 and is made up of the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE). According to the 2010 Rules and the Dar es Salaam University College of Education Charter, the College’s major tasks include integrated teaching, research, and public service.
The College is located in Temeke Municipality, Dar es Salaam Region, on Plots 324 and 325 Block ‘T’ Chang’ombe. It is near the newly built National Stadium and about 5 km from the City Center via Kilwa Road. The college occupies 52.97 acres of land in total. Furthermore, Plot No. 964/1 Block “V” in Mbagala, which is 1.17 hectares of land, belongs to the College. The college provides opportunities for investment in a range of sectors due to its favorable location near the city core.
