One of the six councils in the Shinyanga Region, the Msalala District Council was formally constituted on July 1, 2013, following its announcement in Government Gazette (GN) No. 363. The Ntobo ward’s Buganzo settlement is home to the council headquarters. The region’s primary economic pursuits include small-scale enterprises, mining, and agriculture.

All eligible Tanzanian citizens are invited to apply for the following posts, which are being filled by the Executive Director of the Msalala District Council:

1. Driver II – (1 Position)

Qualifications:

  • A valid Class “C” driver’s license and a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV) are required, as well as at least three (3) years of accident-free driving experience.
  • Must have completed a Basic Driving Course provided by any government-approved institution or the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA).
  • Priority will be given to applicants holding a Grade II Technical Driving Certificate.

Salary Scale: TGS B, in accordance with government standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To guarantee the safety of the car, check it both before and after travels.

Qualifications: A certificate or diploma in one of the following fields is required, in addition to a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV) or Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (Form VI). Administration, Law, Social Sciences, Community Development, and/or Community Education from any other government-approved university or the Local Government Training Institute in Hombolo, Dodoma.

Salary Scale: TGS B, in accordance with government standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the village government’s chief executive officer and bookkeeper.
  • Keep an eye on the safety and well-being of the populace and their belongings.
  • Oversee and juggle the village’s development plans’ planning and execution.
  • Act as the village council’s secretary for all committee and meeting proceedings.
  • Policies, legislation, and procedures should be interpreted and followed.
  • Create work implementation reports for the community and inspire residents to plan and carry out measures to end hunger, combat poverty, and boost production.
  • Lead the village’s technical unit heads.
  • Oversee, gather, and preserve all local papers and records.
  • Preside over the village’s expert meeting.
  • Take in, pay attention to, and settle citizen complaints.
  • In charge of developing the bylaws for the village.
  • Answer to the Executive Officer of the Ward.
