The office assistant will be in charge of the Tuinuke Pamoja Project’s daily office administration tasks, such as store management, office operations, office logistics, and office cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

  • Make use of AKF’s unique cleaning checklist to ensure that every activity is completed to the organization’s standards.
  • Ensure that the entire environment, both inside and outside, is kept tidy and well-maintained. This comprises:
  • Dust walls, partitions, furniture, and equipment.
  • Sinks, counters, floors, mirrors, tables, and chairs should all be cleaned and disinfected.
  • Restock the kitchen, break rooms, and restroom supplies.
  • Use brooms, mopsticks, and vacuum cleaners to sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or hand scrub floors.
  • Place recyclables and garbage cans in designated disposal areas.
  • As needed, prepare and serve personnel and guests hot and cold refreshments.
  • Make sure there is always water available for usage in the building, and notify any shortages so that more can be delivered.
  • Notify the supervisor of any potential maintenance or safety concerns.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma or certificate in customer service, environment, office hygiene, secretarial, or a similar field
  • Familiarity with assisting with development projects and donor-funded initiatives,
  • Ability to utilize software on a computer
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication, with proficiency in both Swahili and English.
  • Fundamental administrative abilities
  • Adaptability and endurance in the workplace.
  • Pay close attention to the details.
  • the capacity to arrange and rank tasks.
  • Fundamental understanding of logistics.
