The Guardian Limited, publishers of leading Tanzanian newspapers The Guardian, Nipashe and Nipashe Jumapili, is looking for motivated and experienced professionals to fill the following position:

The sales executive is in charge of increasing advertising income by persuading companies, agencies, and other prospective customers to purchase advertising space in our newspapers. Creating and sustaining connections with clients, creating advertising campaigns, and hitting sales goals are all part of this job.


  • Sell new and current customers advertising space in our newspapers.
  • Create and execute successful sales strategies to hit or surpass revenue goals.
  • Establish and preserve a solid rapport with clients by getting to know their advertising objectives and business demands.
  • To guarantee client retention and happiness, offer top-notch customer assistance and service.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop unique advertising strategies that support their marketing goals.
  • Keep up with market conditions, competition activity, and industry developments.
  • To find new company prospects and prospective clients, conduct market research.
  • Ensure that the CRM system contains correct records of all sales activities, client interactions, and contracts.


  • a bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, marketing, or a similar discipline.


  • Two to three years’ minimum of experience in selling advertisements, ideally in the publishing or media sectors.
  • A track record of achieving or reaching sales goals.
