As part of its mission to avoid lifetime disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT also provides comprehensive obstetric fistula repairs and other maternity and newborn healthcare (MNHC) services. Its Maternity and Newborn Wing acts as a referral hub for high-risk and urgent deliveries throughout Tanzania’s Eastern Zone and the Dar es Salaam region.
To bolster the Quality Assurance Department, we are seeking an enthusiastic, astute, and
A qualified quality officer who will support our business units with all aspects of quality assurance services.
Your role
- The Quality Assurance Officer works under the direct supervision and guidance of the Head of Quality Assurance to help define the framework and structure of the CCBRT Quality Management System (QMS), which is managed and monitored by the Quality Assurance Unit.
- Assists in the implementation of CCBRT’s Quality Improvement Plan by providing support to Heads of Department, in-charges, and other stakeholders; oversees the conduct of clinical audits in accordance with departmental plans; serves as the Credit Quality Control Focal Point to ensure revenue maximization; and monitors and assesses all levels and areas in the process of implementing the Quality Improvement Action plans.

Your qualifications and work experience
- a doctor of medicine (MD or MBBS) degree from an accredited school, successfully completed an internship lasting at least a year, and registered as a medical practitioner with the Tanganyika Medical Council. or
- a minimum of two years of formal working experience in a clinical setting, as well as a bachelor’s degree in nursing and midwifery from an accredited university, registration with the Tanzanian Nurses and Midwife Council, and successful completion of an internship lasting at least a year. or
- Obtain a diploma in nursing and midwifery from an accredited school, register as a member of the Tanzanian Nurses and Midwife Council, and have at least four years of official clinical work experience.
- An extra benefit is having experience with credit quality management.
