GNM Cargo Limited We are seeking experienced applicants to fill the following jobs in Dar es Salaam:
- DECLARATION OFFICER
- CONSOLIDATION OFFICER
Responsibilities:
- Examine, validate, and re-confirm the Import HS codes and incoterms used before submitting papers to TANCIS and the SINGLE WINDOW system.
- Receive and file the necessary import documents for the declaration process.
- Before printing the payment assessment, double-check that all taxes and duties have been accurately captured.
- Compare the manifested details to the shipping documentation.
- Application for a permit from several institutions such as TBS and GCLA.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least a Certificate of Clearance and Forwarding.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in the same role.
- Excellent knowledge of various customs web systems in East Africa, including TANCIS and SINGLE WINDOW systems.
- Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged 20 to 40 years.
- Must be familiar with government transit, import, and export procedures, as well as Tanzanian customs legislation.
- Working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures (team player).
CONSOLIDATION OFFICER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creating and compiling the Customer Packing List.
- Preparing manifests and submitting them to the TRA and Cargo Systems (TPA), among other things.
- Experience with TANCIS and SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEMS, as well as the TRA system and Cargo System (TPA).
- Preparing the Delivery Order (DO) and House BL.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must have a certificate in shipping, logistics, clearing, and forwarding or a related subject.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in consolidation efforts.
- Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged 20 to 40 years.
- Excellent knowledge of East Africa’s customs web systems, including TANCIS, single window systems, the TRA system, and the Cargo system.
