The chosen candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree, be certified in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) for the conduct of human research, have at least three years of post-qualification experience in managing research projects, managerial and organizational skills, and excellent written and oral English communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • to support the study coordinator and principal investigators in organizing, managing, and overseeing the research activities, guaranteeing that the study is completed in accordance with the strictest international guidelines.
  • to support the establishment and upkeep of a strong consultation relationship between the local government agencies conducting the study and ourselves.
  • to create standard operating procedures and keep them updated on a regular basis in compliance with the study protocol.
  • to provide the research assistants with training on doing research in compliance with the study protocol’s Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • In charge of the research assistants, research nurses, and research clinicians on the field research teams
  • Participate in the creation of scientific articles, studies, and presentations for national conferences.
  • Take part in junior project staff’s capacity development.

Qualifications:

  • A Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related medical profession
  • A minimum of one year’s experience organizing field research projects
  • Experience conducting research on teenagers
  • Outstanding English and Swahili communication skills both in writing and speaking
  • GCP-trained and holding the necessary certification
