The Sales Executive – SME plays a crucial role in enabling the community’s small enterprises and individuals to get financial services. In your role as a sales executive, you will be in charge of reviewing loan applications, performing financial evaluations, and helping customers get acceptable microloans. Additionally, you will have to cross-sell other products that are available, such as insurance products.


1. Revenue Growth

  • Contribute to the company’s revenue growth
  • Develop a lucrative loan portfolio
  • Promote the company’s goods and services and find successful clients, particularly SMEs.
  • Continue to have a quality loan portfolio.
  • Keeping an eye on portfolio delinquency effectively
  • Cross-promote other goods and services offered by the business (insurance products)

2. Loan Application and Evaluation:

  • Get loan applications from prospective borrowers and review them.
  • Determine the creditworthiness and repayment capabilities of applicants by conducting comprehensive financial assessments.
  • Examine and confirm that the applicants’ financial records are accurate.

3. Client Relationship Management & Business Development

  • Build and preserve a good rapport with customers by responding to their questions and concerns.
  • Give customers individualized financial counseling and advice to assist them in making wise borrowing choices.
  • Follow up with borrowers on a regular basis to make sure they pay on time and to provide support if required.
  • Locate prospective customers and build connections to increase the clientele.

4. Loan Disbursement and Documentation:

  • Create loan disbursement agreements and assist with the process of payout.
  • Make sure that all loan agreements, terms, and conditions are properly and completely documented.

5. Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Respect lending guidelines and microfinance legislation to guarantee compliance.
  • Evaluate and reduce any risks connected to loan applications and borrowers.

6. Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Provide reports on the performance of the loan portfolio, delinquency rates, and repayment patterns on a regular basis.
  • To find chances for portfolio growth and risk management, analyze data.

7. Training and Education:

  • Inform customers on appropriate borrowing practices and financial literacy.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions to improve your clients’ financial literacy.

8. Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments.
  • Observe teamwork culture.


  • A bachelor’s degree in business management, accounting, economics, or a similar discipline.
  • It is preferred to have at least four years of experience in lending, banking, microfinance, or a similar industry.
  • A track record of working with SME clients
  • solid grasp of risk management concepts, credit evaluation, and financial analysis.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities to establish trust with team members and clients.
  • Familiarity with pertinent microfinance laws and requirements for compliance.
  • The capacity to solve problems and make wise loan selections.
  • Superior moral character, ethical conduct, and dedication to client pleasure.
